Roles
Reference for project and organization roles.
This page lists Customer admin, Project Management, Subject Management, Query Management, Dataset Management, Randomize, and Randomization-view—signing roles are removed.
Organization roles
| Role | Scope | What it allows |
|---|---|---|
| Customer | Organization | Full admin access to the organization |
Organization-level users are created under Customer → Users.
Project roles
Assign these at Project → Users. Most roles are site-scoped.

|---|---|
| Project Management | Full project configuration: intervals, variable groups, users, settings |
| Subject Management | Add subjects, enter data, modify queries |
| Query Management | Create, view, manage, and close queries |
| Dataset Management | Create and run data exports (does not unblind) |
| Randomize | Randomize subjects to treatment arms |
| Randomization-view | View treatment assignment |
| Subject Messaging | Send messages to subjects via portal |
Query workflow roles
Query permissions follow a specific pattern:

All query roles are site-scoped.
Removed roles
The following roles are no longer used:
- Signing
- Unsigning
- Subject Management – Secondary
Do not assign these roles in new projects.
