Sign in (participants)

For study participants who need to complete their StudyTrax forms.

Staff sign in at https://my.studytrax.com — see staff sign-in.

Where you sign in

Use the portal link your study team gave you (email, flyer, or a project-code URL). The participant-portal hostname is not published here — each study may use a different address.

  • stxportal.com and stxportals.com are retired. Old bookmarks to those hosts will not work.
  • Some studies direct participants to the same address as staff. Use that only if your study team said to.

If you do not have a current link, ask your study coordinator or the contact on your study materials.

  1. Open the portal link your study team sent.
  2. On the login page, enter your Username and Password.
  3. Click Login.

Staff login form with Username, Password, and Login button
Staff login form with Username, Password, and Login button

The login page shows the STUDYTRAX logo, a Login heading, Username and Password fields, a Login button, and links for Forgot Password? and Forgot Username?. Staff and participants share the same login page.

After you sign in

You land on HOME. The participant home page shows:

  • A project selector (if you are in more than one study)
  • A messages icon in the header (shows an unread badge when you have messages)
  • A logout link
  • An Enrollment Forms card with a Forms to Complete button
  • An unread-messages card if you have messages

The participant portal is task-oriented: you see your own forms and your own messages. You do not see a subject list, search, or data-management navigation — those are staff features.

First-time access

Depending on the study:

  • Staff created your account and emailed you to set a password, or
  • The portal offered online registration or enrollment.

Cannot sign in

  1. Confirm you are on the link your study team gave you — not stxportal.com or stxportals.com.
  2. Reset your password using Forgot Password? on the login page (if shown). A lock is a password reset; there is no separate unlock.
  3. If you never got an account email, or reset does not arrive, ask your study coordinator. They can reset your password or restore access.

Session timeout

If your session expires while you are signed in, you will see: "You have been logged out because your session has expired." Sign in again to continue. The footer may show a session countdown before this happens.

For coordinators

Manage a participant's portal account from that subject's record if you have Subject Administration. See staff sign-in if you need the subject-administrator path.
